The Queen admitted in hospital for Gastroenteritis

The Queen has been admitted to hospital after suffering symptoms of gastroenteritis, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

All her official engagements for the week, including a trip to Rome with Prince Philip, will be either postponed or cancelled as a precaution, the Palace added.

Queen Elizabeth II is due to remain at King Edward VII Hospital in London for two days after spending the weekend at Windsor Castle.
