Queen of rock and roll; Tina Turner is giving up her U.S.Passport for Swiss citizenship

Tina Turner has lived in the Zurich suburb of Kuesnacht since the mid-1990s no wonders she told the German newspaper Blick that " she is happy in Switzerland and feels at home there. 

The local Zuerichsee-Zeitung newspaper said on its website the local council announced its decision to grant the 73-year-old Turner citizenship in an official notice published in Friday's edition. 

This is definitely a surprise to a lot of people myself included but i must say that as long as she is happy that's all that matters.
